Are we really running out of band names or what? It seems so. It must be harder and harder every day now to try and find a good band name that hasn’t already been snapped up by someone else. Perfect example: Cage the Elephant.
These guys have grown on me a lot. Like really, a lot. They are a modern “Punk-Funk” band, so I tend to hear them on The Zone @ 91.3 quite a bit at work—well, only their newest single, “Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked” (YouTube). Also, my brother likes it lot and sort of pressured me in to liking them. But nonetheless, they are awesome now and I luvvvv them.
This band of 5 guys, Matt Shultz (vocals), Brad Shultz (guitar), Daniel Tichenor (bass), Lincoln Parish (guitar), and Jared Champion (drums), hail from Kentucky in the US, and appear to be signed with Jive Records/Zomba. You can check out their awesome MySpace page or go to their Main website.
