The Amorous is an up and coming band from Phoenix, Arizona. Josh Montgomery is the band’s vocalist, Mitchell Orr and Cameron Montgomery play guitar, and Eric Guzman plays bass. The band is currently unsigned (hint hint!)
Josh was very nice and agreed to do an interview.
How did The Amorous get started?
We started back in August (last year) with Mitch and I being invited to join the band.
Like a month later Eric joined cause he is an awesome bass player and a friend
that fit perfectly with our writing and what we are going for. Cameron joined
in the beginning of 09′ and was exactly what we were looking for and fit right
in with us as a band. So we’ve been hitting the local scene hard ever since and
are now shopping to labels and are looking to get signed!
What are some of the bands major influences?
What influences the band most is definitely just life itself and the desire to make people feel what we feel and experience certain things through our music.
The band’s sound in one sentence?
Our music is unique rock.
If you could tour with any band, alive or dead, who would you choose?
If we could tour with any band, I’m sure everyone would have a different answer but I would love to tour with the band The Killers.
Where do you see the band being in 2 years?
The band in 2 years will hopefully have a record out and be touring full time!
Favorite Amorous song?
Favorite song of ours right now is a new one that me & mitch wrote called “The First.”
Flavor of ice cream?
definitely chocolate.
What are some of the band’s future plans?
The band’s future plans are to tour full time and sell as many records as possible.
