Crash Coordiates is an awesome band from Arizona. Really. The band features Chris Kalla on lead vocals and guitar, Chris Wahl on guitar, Kevin Williams on bass, Vincent Liou on piano/synth/percussion, and last but not least, Jon Stoddard on the drums.
Chris Wahl and Chris Kalla were very nice and answered some questions and I have to admit, they are some pretty epic answers.

How did Crash Coordinates get started?
Through a lengthy interview process requiring feats of skill, dexterity, strength, and heart.
Where did the band’s name come from?
Chris Kalla was on a camping trip up near Sedona, Arizona. While contemplating the mysteries of the universe and trying to figure out a name for the band a meteor crash landed 200 feet in front of him. At the coordinates of the crash Chris Kalla found a golden CD with the words “Your Destiny” engraved upon it. Thus the name Crash Coordinates was born.
What are some of the bands major influences?
Fallout Boy, Jimmy Eat World, Plain Whites T’s, Blink 182, Minus The Bear, Daphne Loves Derby, Metallica, Taylor Swift, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven (some of it)
Who writes the songs for the band?
The songs are usually first created on acoustic guitars with basic structure, progressions and melodies. This is split up between Chris Kalla and Chris Wahl. They then bring their creation to the band where the other members add their own creativity (or lack thereof) to the music to create the song. The finished lyrics are the final touch to the songs and usually through many revisions as is the music. Once completed the band celebrates with a formal dinner party, catered by a giant penguin named Frank.
What band, past or present, would the band tour with if they had the chance?
We would love to tour with bands such as, All Time Low, Blink 182, Boys Like Girls, Panic! at The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Ect.
Favorite animal(s)?
Tiger because they are not afraid to venture out and take chances. I mean they are covered in stripes and those can be fashion suicide!
or a Lion, because they have had trendy hair cuts WAAAAAAAY before anyone else did
What are some of of the band’s goals?
We definitely want to start touring after we release the new EP
Find a label that will work with our music and help to promote us
Create a job out of the band so we can leave our real ones

What is the band currently up to?
We are getting ready to release our new EP, “The Business Of Making You Move” recorded by Matt Grabe. We are currently pushing the album with online promotion and word of mouth. We are also participating in a very competitive culinary arts program. Vincent is also training for Ninja Warrior.
What is something most fans might not know about the band?
When the band first started we were called Oden and we played Indie/Jazz/Rock
Who is the hottest member of the band?
We like to compare band members to superheros. If your attracted to Beast from X-Men, you might enjoy Kevin Williams. If you happen to enjoy the suave demeanor of Tony Stark (IRON MAN) you might like Chris Wahl. If you grew up watching Dragon Ball Z you might have a crush on Vincent Liou. If you love green skin and mullets, such as that featured on Captain Planet, you might fancy Jon Stoddard. If you find yourself attracted to bats, men of bats, or a Batman persay, Chris Kalla is your best bet.
