I recently had the chance to attend a local rock and metal music festival in my hometown of Hutchinson, Kansas (yes, Kansas knows how to rock). The festival cleverly named “Wake the Dead Fest” held it’s second all day concert October 10th and featured 13 bands performing on 2 different stages.
I wasn’t able to stay for the entire concert, but one band whose set I really enjoyed was The Breakpoint Method who are from Salina, Kansas. I’m not completely sure what genre to describe them as, but they’re music sounds mostly metal-like, with maybe some screamo.
The band has four members, lead singer Barrett Jones on guitar, Jimmy Lands as lead guitarist and some vocals, Eric Reid on bass and vocals, and Shawn Hay on the drums. Although the band is quite new, they’ve shared the stage with the likes of Aiden, Madina Lake, Thursday, Pierce the Veil, Four Year Strong, and In This Moment.
This past year The Breakpoint Method won the chance to play the St. Louis date of the Taste of Chaos tour.
Currently, the band is headed to the studio to record their debut album.
I highly recommend that you check out their music.

Hey, thanks for the kind words!
