On June 9, 2009, TFNB released their firstĀ full-length album, Off the Deep End. The first song that I heard off this album was ‘Stuttering,’ and I was instantly hooked. Each song off this album is different, and catchy in it’s own way. Nearly every album has it’s fair share of heartbreak songs and this one is no exception: ‘Permanent Heartbreak’, and ‘Stupid Love Letter’ give you the typical story of young love. While the majority of songs on this album are upbeat, it still has some powerfully written ones. ‘She’s Finding Me Out’, and ‘Can’t Take That Away’ will make you realize that TFNB definately have a great writing ability. Granted, Off The Deep End, like most albums, has those one or two songs that I just can’t take seriously. In this case, they’re ‘How I Met Your Mother’, and ‘Molly Makeout’. Sure, they’re catchy, but seriously? But, other than that, I highly recommend this album. Catchy songs, meaningful lyrics. What else can you ask for? I give it a 8.75/10.
Want to see The Friday Night Boys? They’re currently finishing up touring across the US with Cobra Starship, and will be heading out on the Glamour Kills Tour with All Time Low in mid-September. Just visitĀ www.myspace.com/fridaynightboys for dates and locations.
So, on that note, I recommend that each and every one of you go and purchase Off the Deep End. You will not be dissapointed.
