The boys of ATL asked Runner Runner to sing gang vocals on their last two full length albums. I was able to interview guitarist, Nick Bailey recently.

So you’re going to Warped…AWESOME! Now who should you check out once you’re there? I’ve got you covered. Warped is awesome because you are exposed to so many bands you have never heard of. Warped makes it easy for musicans and fans to connect. Loved Bayside’s set? Just head on over to their tent and pick up a cd and meet the band. Here are the 5 bands you have to check out!
1. VersaEmerge - Port St. Lucie, FL
Check out Florida’s best kept secret till now, VersaEmerge. They are playing on the Ernie Ball Stage all summer long. They may be young but they will blow you away. They bring many unique sounds to their music, which sets them apart. Sierra Kusterbeck’s dynamic vocals will be soothe, excite, and leave you wanting more. This past January VersaEmerge signed to Fueled by Ramen (Paramore, The Academy Is…). Since then they have been touring constantly winning fans over. VersaEmerge’s Myspace
2. Sing It Loud – Minneapolis, MN
This fun, spunky, powerpop band from the Ice lands of MinneSNOWta, will get you dancing and moving. Their tracks are heartfelt love songs that are relatable to any teenager. I will admit I have a soft spot for bassist, Nate Flynn (he’s so cute!) He has so much energy; every single show I have seen he is drenched in sweat with a smile on his face. All the guys from Sing It Loud will make you feel like it’s your day. You can truly see they love what they are doing! Sing It Loud\’s Myspace
3. TAT – London, UK
TAT is made up of 3 very talented musicians: Tatiana DeMaria (lead vox/lead guitar), Nick Kent (bass), and Jake Reed (drums). What sets this band apart from others is the fact that Tatiana masters the guitar while blasting her powerful, in your face vocals. If you were just listening to their music you might think the band has 5 or even 6 members. It’s insane that they can perform such a high energy set with only 3 people, 6 hands, and 30 fingers. This London based trio sure knows how to put on an entertaining show. Just take a look at some of their videos. They never hold back, which then leads to huge leaps off amps, drums, and anything else Tatiana can find. You can see the chemistry and friendship this band has, its undeniable. TAT’s Myspace
4. You, Me At Six – Weybridge, Surrey
This punk-pop band calls Weybridge, Surrey home. They will join the Warped Tour on August 1. Come out and welcome they back to the states. This 5-piece crew knows how to showcase their talents with their music. Lead singer, Josh Franceschi, has a smooth voice that intrigues anyone willing to take a listen to their love anthems. Just like anyone other teenager they experience hook-ups, break-ups, and of course make-ups. This influences their lyrics and makes them appealing to a wide audience. They are just fun-loving guys living their dream and making the most of it. You Me At Six’s Myspace
The boys of TV/TV are from the big city of New York, New York. Growing up in the city has exposed them to many types of music. It’s hard to put TV/TV in a specific genre. Some songs are powerpop, others are indie, they even show a glimpse of dance/pop. You might be surprised to hear TV/TV is currently unsigned. Their presence on the Vans Warped Tour has helped them expose their name and music to thousands and thousands of Warped Tour goers. I don’t see them being unsigned for too much longer. Come out and catch their set and see for yourself. Expect big things from Josh, Matt, Doc, and Killah very soon! TV/TV’s Myspace
Here are just some quick suggestions on what to bring to Warped!
1. Sunscreen – You might think it will make you look uncool, but what’s cool about being burnt to a crisp.
2. Cheap Sunglasses – Protect your eyes, but don’t bring your new Gucci sunglasses you may loose them in the pit.
3. Tennis Shoes – You WILL look absolutely rediculus if you wear flip-flops or even worse, heels. There is a time and place for those but it’s not Warped Tour.
4. Charged Phone/Charged Camera – Don’t get to Warped and find out that your camera is dead. Your phone will come in handy when trying to hook back up with your crew.
5. Know who you want to see – Find out who is playing your date and make a list to bring to Warped. Once you get there you can find out when and what stage they are playing. You don’t want to miss Forever the Sickest Kids!
6. Cash - Think about all the sweet bands you are going to see! You’ll have to pick up some CDs and merch!
Hope this helps!
Paramore is one of the biggest bands to hit the pop/punk music scene. After their sophomore effort with Riot, they exploded on to MTV and into the airwaves. Don’t get me wrong I love “Riot” but for those of you who just jumped on the Paramore train, please go check out their debut album, “All We Know is Falling.” It’s like finding 10 Paramore tracks just laying around! haha Definitely check out the tracks Emergency and Here We Go Again. They are up-beat and will getting you dancing. You will notice a track entitled “Franklin” it is written for and about their hometown, Franklin, Tennessee. These tracks will hook you, not only with the amazing lyrics but the music itself.
NEW ALBUM!! Paramore is currently in post-production for their new album. (Rumored to be called “Better Luck Next Time”) After the success of Riot, you wonder what the album with sound like. So far it seems that Paramore is going a little heavier. This is what lead guitarist, Josh Farro, said about the upcoming album. “Because Riot! was pretty ‘same’ the entire record. There wasn’t a lot of dynamic. I think this record definitely has that. We have an acoustic song, we have the pretty songs, and then we’ve got the midtempo and the heavy ones. … It’s a good mixture.” If you get a chance to see Paramore this summer, on tour with No Doubt, then you will get a sneak peek of what’s to come on the upcoming album. The album will drop this September. No single has been released yet but definitely keep your ears open for it.
NEW MEMBER!! If you have ever seen a Paramore show you will know who Taylor York is. Or at least saw him. He plays guitar for the band while they are touring. Taylor has been touring the with band for over two years now, but just recently Paramore officially added Taylor to the line up. Here is what Paramore wrote about the new addition:
“EVERYONE!!!! The members of Paramore have a special announcement to make: We recognize the fact that it’s way overdue. Oh well. Today is the day. The four of us (Hayley, Zac, Josh and Jeremy) are proud to announce that Taylor York, a touring member of Paramore for over 2 years, is now an official member of the band!
In case you don’t know…and you probably don’t…Taylor has been around since the very early days of Paramore. Perhaps even before we began. He actually helped write some of our “fan-favorite” songs such as “Conspiracy” off our debut record, All We Know Is Falling and “That’s What You Get” from RIOT! So as you can see, there really isn’t anyone else we could find who would fit in quite the same.
So, without further ado, we give you… the newest and final addition to Paramore: TAYLOR BENJAMIN YORK :l”

“I can only speak for myself on this one, but if I could play a show with anyone, it’d be Weezer.”
Living in Florida I’m sure you guys get to the beach, who gets the worst sunburn?
