These Green Eyes was started in 2003 when three of it’s current members met in high school. Drummer Mark Brundrett, bassist Zach Braz, and Greg Mauro guitarist began playing together but soon decided that they needed a vocalist. Colin Cunningham was asked to sing vocals for one show (where he made up the lyrics on the spot!) and ended up becoming the band’s lead singer. They soon recorded their first EP which was later followed by their first full length entitled “House of Glass”.

In 2007 the band began recording once again. In 2008 while recording Jeff Krenn was added to the lineup playing guitar. This past March they released “Relapse to Recovery”. Surprisingly they aren’t as well known as bands like Fall Out Boy and The Academy Is… although they have toured with them and are extremely talented. Their songs are filled with much meaning and from what I’ve experienced they are amazing with fans. Before their new album came out you could preorder it from MerchNow and if you forwarded the email with your order to the band they announced they would personally call you. I found this to be true and what’s cooler then getting a phone call from a really awesome bad? They have held numerous Stickam chats which they use as way to connect with fans.

If you haven’t heard of These Green Eyes then I highly recommend picking up a copy of “Relapse to Recovery” and giving it a listen, who knows? They might just be your new favorite band.
